FORT LAUDERDALE – A woman alleges a Georgia debt collector harassed her with its frequent calls.

Patricia Fonnegra filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Suntrust Bank alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016 she suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from the defendant. The plaintiff holds Suntrust Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly invaded her privacy and harassed her with the frequency of its calls.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages of $1,500, enjoin the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by George N. Andrews of Loan Lawyers LLC in Fort Lauderdale.
