MIAMI – A Delray Beach restaurant is accused of unlawful employment practices by a former employee.

Jacqueline Angle filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Feb. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Delray Food Services Inc., doing business as Johnnie Brown’s Restaurant, and Constantine Nicholas alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for the defendants as a server and bartender from December 2015 to October 2016.  The plaintiff holds Delray Food Services Inc., doing business as Johnnie Brown’s Restaurant, and Nicholas responsible because the defendants allegedly failed comply with the tip-credit requirements of the FLSA and failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Mark J. Beutler of Law Offices of Mark J. Beutler PA in Miami.
