Holiday CVS LLC did not pay overtime rate for extra work, former employee claims

Law money 13

FORT LAUDERDALE – A former employee of a company conducting business in Miami-Dade County alleges she was not paid for overtime work at the proper rate.

Anna Mayorca filed a complaint on Feb. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Holiday CVS LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was employed by the defendant from July to October 2016. The plaintiff holds Holiday CVS LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by James M. Loren of Goldberg & Loren PA in Plantation.
