Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau accused of phone-law violation

Phone 09

TAMPA — A man is suing Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau Inc., a debt collector, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Walt Korda filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau Inc., alleging that the debt collector called the plaintiff several times in an attempt to collect an alleged debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that starting in the spring of 2014, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls. The plaintiff holds Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system despite his request to stop calling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, all legal fees, and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Michael A. Ziegler of Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler, P.L. in Clearwater.
