Law money 06

MIAMI — A Miami-Dade County man is suing his former employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Yasmany Martinez filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against CFH Group LLC alleging that the company failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation as a non-exempt employee. The plaintiff holds CFH Group responsible because it allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
