Norwegian Cruise Line passenger alleges crewmember dropped table on foot

Cruise 04

MIAMI – A cruise passenger alleges the ship's crewmembers dropped a table on her foot.

Simona Partigul filed a complaint on Feb. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against NCL (Bahamas) LTD, doing business as Norwegian Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 1, 2017, she suffered physical injuries when a large portable table was dropped onto her foot by a crewmember of the defendant. The plaintiff holds NCL (Bahamas) LTD, doing business as Norwegian Cruise Line, responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly supervise its employees that were in charge of putting away the large portable tables.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Carol L. Finklehoffe and Jason R. Margulies of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman PA in Miami.
