TAMPA – A Manatee County man alleges a debt collector has been harassing him with calls.
Walt Korda filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Bright House Networks LLC alleging citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between March 2014 and February 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls. The plaintiff holds Bright House Networks LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system despite his request to stop calling him.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, all legal fees, enjoin the defendant and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Michael A. Ziegler and Kaelyn Steinkraus of Law Office of Michael A. Ziegler P.L. in Clearwater.
