WEST PALM BEACH – A West Palm Beach car wash is accused of not paying a minimum wage or overtime wages to an employee.
Michelle Mola filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated on Feb. 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against RDCW2 Inc., doing business as Rubber Ducky Car Wash and Detail Center, and Paolo A. Weston citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without getting paid minimum or overtime wages. The plaintiff holds RDCW2 Inc., doing business as Rubber Ducky Car Wash and Detail Center, and Weston responsible because the defendants allegedly had knowledge that the plaintiff also was being paid below minimum wage and was not getting paid overtime wages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award minimum wages, overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Michael Hanna of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Plantation.
