Law money 05

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County discount clothing retailer is alleged to have not paid proper overtime wages to a former employee.

Saul E. Ramirez filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated individuals on Jan. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against B-Buda LLC, B-Buda Boutique Inc., B-Buda Wholesale Inc., B-Buda Winwood Inc. and Salman Buda citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds B-Buda LLC, B-Buda Boutique Inc., B-Buda Wholesale Inc., B-Buda Winwood Inc. and Buda responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Zandro E. Palma of Zandro E. Palma PA in Miami.
