Law money 06

TAMPA – Two Polk County residents allege that they were not adequately compensated by a restaurant during their employment.

Zeandrew Stamps and Derrick Arnett filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 25 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Lakeland Chophouse LLC, doing business as Manny's Original Chophouse, and Emmanuel Nikolaidis citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation during their employment. The plaintiffs holds Lakeland Chophouse LLC, doing business as Manny's Original Chophouse, and Nikolaidis responsible because the defendants allegedly also failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff and failed to keep an accurate record of plaintiff's working hours.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid back wages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Matthew K. Fenton and Brandon J. Hill of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa, P.A. in Tampa.
