MIAMI – A Broward County resident alleges he was not
compensated properly for overtime work as a cook for a restaurant.
Farhod Karimov filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on
Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against
OBK Center Corp., doing business as Bahor Restaurant, and Irina Eliutina citing
the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked 400 overtime
hours during his employment with the defendants from October 2015 to January.
The plaintiff holds OBK Center Corp., doing business as Bahor Restaurant, and
Eliutina responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay
overtime wages to the plaintiff at the rate of time-and-one half and only paid
straight time for those hours worked.
The plaintiff seeks compensatory and liquidated damages, overtime wages still
owing to the plaintiff, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as
the court deems just. He is represented by Daniel T. Feld of Law Office of Daniel
