MIAMI – A Boca Raton company is accused of infringing a Michigan company's patent.
Voit Technologies LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Boca Office Furniture LLC alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business as the result of its '412 patent being infringed. The plaintiff holds Boca Office Furniture LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly infringes at least one claim of plaintiff's patents through the use of its e-commerce software and hardware on its website.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, enhancement of damages, royalty, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Angela M. Lipscomb and Alberto Interian III of Lipscomb & Partners, PL in Miami.
