Woman alleges injuries at Orlando Sportsplex LTD

Slip01

ORLANDO – An Orange County resident alleges she was injured in a fall at a Maitland sports complex.

Dana Hill filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Orlando Sportsplex LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 6, 2013, she visited the RDV Sportsplex Center in Maitland, which is owned by the defendant. She alleges she slipped and fell violently by the entrance of the sports complex because of a liquid on a glossy surface of defendant's premises and the alleged fall resulted in bodily injury, disability, significant scarring, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life, expense of hospitalization and medical care, loss of earnings, and aggravation of previously existing condition.

The plaintiff holds Orlando Sportsplex Limited responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately inspect/maintain the floor area in and around the entrance area, and failed to correct the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by Lawrence Gonzales II of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
