Orlando resident files suit motorist over alleged negligence after Orlando accident

Car accident 03

ORLANDO – An Orlando resident alleges a Winter Springs woman caused her injures after an auto accident in Orlando.

Monica Santillana filed a complaint on Dec. 30 in the Orange County Circuit Court against Melissa Zito alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 29, 2016, she was operating a motor vehicle at the intersection of Dean and Lake Underhill roads when the vehicle operated by the defendant, with authority from a third-party owner, suddenly collided with plaintiff's vehicle. The suit states the defendant struck plaintiff's vehicle with such great impact that it caused plaintiff to suffer permanent bodily injury, including suffering from disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, permanent aggravation of a previously existing condition, medical expenses, loss of earnings, and loss of ability to lead and enjoy a normal life.

The plaintiff holds Zito responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently and carelessly operated the vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for all damages to which she is legally entitled against defendant, and other such relief deemed proper by the court. She is represented by George H. Anderson and Todd A. Curtin of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
