Rise Again Recovery and Wellness alleged to owe former counselor wages

Law money 13

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County woman alleges she is owed wages from her former employer.

Sarah Clark filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Rise Again Recovery and Wellness LLC and Noga Behar citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked as a behavioral health counselor but was not paid the required minimum wage or any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Rise Again Recovery and Wellness LLC and Behar responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeds 40 and also failed to pay her final paycheck.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
