W. Salon and Spa alleged to owe former employee unpaid overtime

Law money 09

MIAMI – A former receptionist for a Coral Springs business alleges she is owed overtime.

Jill Moldovan filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against SDCR Inc., doing business as W. Salon and Spa, and Steve Weiss alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The suit states she worked as a cashier and receptionist from February 2012 to November 2016. The plaintiff holds SDCR Inc., doing business as W. Salon and Spa, and Weiss responsible because the defendants allegedly failed and refused to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Rose H. Robbins of Law Office of Rose H. Robbins, J.D. in Boca Raton.
