ORLANDO – Two individuals allege they were injured in an accident in Orange County on a state route.
Glenda L. Orellana and Migdalia Villegas-Figueroa filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Genesis Montes-Cruz and Wilberto Montes alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on July 1, 2016, Orellana was driving a vehicle on Sand Lake Road with Villegas-Figueroa as a passenger and was stopped for traffic. The suit states Montes-Cruz rear-ended a vehicle and that vehicle struck the plaintiffs' vehicle. The defendant's vehicle was owed by Montes, the suit states. The plaintiffs hold Montes-Cruz and Montes responsible because the Montes-Cruz allegedly failed to keep a proper look out while operating her vehicle and failed to timely apply the brakes.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, plus interest, and all legal fees. They are represented by Zachary A. Leacox of McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox PA in Orlando.
