Carnival passenger alleges he was injured in slip and fall accident on ship near pool

Cruise 10

MIAMI – A Carnival Victory passenger has filed a suit alleging he was injured when he slipped and fell because of a wet surface near the pool.

Heriberto Morales filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 2, 2016, he suffered a fall due to the wet and puportedly unreasonably unsafe condition of the floor on the lido deck near a pool.

The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to put adequate warning signs regarding the slippery surface around the lido deck of their vessel and failed to exercise reasonable care.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by John F. Billera of Billera Law, PLLC in Boca Raton.
