Man claims OneBeacon America Insurance Company wrongly denied benefits

Insurance 01

JACKSONVILLE — A man is suing OneBeacon America Insurance Company, alleging breach of contract.

Christopher Corson filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against OneBeacon America Insurance Company, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied his claim for occupational injury benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014 he was injured in a workplace accident that should have qualified him for insurance benefits. The plaintiff holds OneBeacon America Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly denied his application for benefits despite his eligibility according to the policy.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, medical benefits, payment of outstanding medical bills, indemnity benefits, other benefits plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Thomas M. Farrell, IV of Farrell Disability Law in Jacksonville.
