MIAMI – A Palm Beach County resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.
United States of America filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against John Ortiz alleging that the individual failed to settle his debt with the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Ortiz failed to pay the principal amount of his debt plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $4,668.55 plus interest of $2,159.59, attorney's fees of $500, all other legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez PA in Coral Gables.
