Miami woman accused of defaulting on education loan

MIAMI – A Miami woman is alleged to owe more than $9,000 on a student loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carol Whatley, also known as Carol Pierre Louis, alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Whatley allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of her debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $4,298.39 plus interest of $4,258.77 plus attorneys fees of $500, all other legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez PA in Coral Gables.
