Passenger alleges fall on Carnival ship shattered femoral neck

Cruise 02

MIAMI –  A Kentucky woman alleges she was injured while traveling on the Carnival Cruise Line ship the Carnival Conquest.

Vicki Bush filed a complaint on Dec. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 26, 2016, she suffered physical injuries, including a shattered right femoral neck, when she tripped over a doorway that was raised several inches above the deck surface. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain a safe means of ingress/egress and failed to inspect for dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages plus interest. She is represented by Michael D. Eriksen of Eriksen Law Firm in West Palm Beach.
