KX Wholesale Seafood allegedly did not pay former assistant general manager overtime

TAMPA – A former assistant general manager for a wholesale seafood company in Hillsborough County alleges he was not paid overtime.

Jose Rosa filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the Tampa Division for the Middle District of Florida against KX Wholesale Seafood LLC citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in November 2014, he started working for the defendant as an assistant general manager and worked in this capacity until September 2016. At various times, plaintiff alleges he worked hours in excess of 40 hours within a workweek, but was not compensated for overtime hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, unpaid back wages, damages, interest, costs, attorney's fees and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA in Tampa.
