Employee accuses mortgage company of failing to pay overtime

MIAMI  — A Palm Beach County woman is suing a mortgage company, alleging unpaid overtime wages in violation of workers compensation acts.

Jeannine Henrion filed a lawsuit Dec. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Group One Mortgage Inc., and Lori Hetzel, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. 

According to the complaint, Henrion worked for more than 40 hours a week between November 2011 and July 15, 2016, without being paid any overtime compensation of time and a half as required by FLSA. 

Henrion seeks trial by jury, damages, interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Shawn L. Birken of Law Offices of Shawn L. Birken PA in Fort Lauderdale.
