MIAMI — A Florida man is suing a Miami-Dade County Honda dealership, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Alfredo Sanchez Perez filed a lawsuit Dec. 22 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Faboo LLC, doing business as Honda of Aventura, formerly known as Potamkin Honda, and Jaime Carvajal, alleging they failed to pay fair overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Perez worked as a driver for the defendants between November 2014 and Aug. 19, 2016, for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay the overtime premium of time and half for all hours worked beyond 40 per week as required by FLSA.

Perez seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages for all unpaid minimum wages, compensatory damages for all overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees, plus interest and all relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Orion G. Callison III of Law Office of Alexis Gonzalez PA in Coconut Grove.
