Law money 03

FORT LAUDERDALE – A former dental assistant for a Fort Lauderdale dental practice alleges she is owed unpaid wages.

Jennifer Hall filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against John E. Rudnick, DDS, P.A.; and John E. Rudnik citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds John E. Rudnick, DDS, P.A.; and Rudnik responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums for working more than 40 hours per week and also for allegedly failing to pay her for a few hours of straight time.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid straight time owing, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Bruce Botsford of Bruce Botsford PA in Fort Lauderdale.
