Woman alleges Miami Beach Community Health Center failed to administer proper treatment to late husband

Medical malpractice 09

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County woman alleges negligent treatment failed to timely diagnose her late husband's condition.

Doris Inmenso, as personal representative of the estate of Luis Inmenso, filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against United States of America alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Luis Inmenso sought treatment at the Miami Beach Community Health Center numerous times from 2012 to 2014 for complaints of a cough and pain before his death in November 2014. The suit states that in March 2014, a biopsy was performed that found adenocarcinoma, and the decedent underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The plaintiff holds United States of America responsible because the defendant's agents allegedly failed to administer proper testing and diagnosis to properly identify Luis Inmenso's condition.

The plaintiff seeks damages in the amount of $10 million plus interest and legal fees. She is represented by Stephen L. Malove of Malove Henratty PA in Fort Lauderdale.
