MIAMI — A Texas woman is suing the Carnival cruise line, alleging the defendant's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.
Pamela Ashley filed a lawsuit Dec. 15 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Corporation, alleging failure to keep the floor of its deck free of any foreign substance.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 10, Ashley suffered injuries to her left knee when she slipped and fell due to liquid that accumulated on the floor of the Lido deck aboard the Carnival Triumph. The plaintiff alleges Carnival failed to place warning signs to properly warn passengers of the wet floor.
Ashley seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $75,000, plus interest and all legal fees. She is represented by attorney Jacob J. Munch of Munch and Munch PA in Tampa.
