Carnival passenger claims she was injured from fall during excursion

Cruise 05

MIAMI – A North Carolina woman claims she was injured during a boating excursion as part of her cruise.

Tiffany Larson filed a complaint on Dec. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. and Ocean Vibes Scuba & Watersports LTD, doing business as Grand Turk Shore Excursions, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and her husband were passengers on the Carnival ship Valor and purchased a boating excursion with Ocean Vibes. The plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 15, 2015, she sustained serious physical injuries as the result of falling because the defendants' employees did not safely assist her from getting to the vessel to the dock.

The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. and Ocean Vibes Scuba & Watersports LTD responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly secure the boat to the dock so that Larson could safely exit.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest and any other relief the court grants. She is represented by Andrew L. Waks of Waks & Barnett PA in Miami.
