Former Diagnostic Medical Imaging employee alleges she is owed overtime

Law money 12

MIAMI – A clerical employee for a Hollywood business claims she worked an average of five to 10 additional hours per week and was not compensated for them.

Angie Pineda filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Broward Division against Diagnostic Medical Imaging LLC alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per workweek without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Diagnostic Medical Imaging LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Richard Celler of Richard Celler Legal PA in Davie.
