FORT PIERCE — A former employee is suing Collison's Automotive Inc. and Kevin R. Jardine, alleging violation of wage law.

David Laroche filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid minimum wage. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they defendants allegedly failed to pay an overtime premium to the plaintiff for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid overtime wages, minimum wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Casey Walker of Murphy & Walker, P.L. in Vero Beach.
