Law money 04

MIAMI – A man alleges his former employer did not adequately compensate him for all hours worked per week.

Damadrick Hugley filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against J&S Towing and Transport Services Inc. and Juan Ruiz alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked approximately 32 hours of overtime per week that he was not paid for. The plaintiff holds J&S Towing and Transport Services Inc. and Ruiz responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Chad Levy of Law Offices of Levy & Levy PA in Fort Lauderdale.
