FLORIDA — Getty Images is suing Florida Lawyers Network, LLC, a Florida company, citing alleged copyright infringement.
Getty Images (US), Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 14, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Florida Lawyers Network, LLC alleging that the Florida company used plaintiff's photographic images without permission.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Getty Images (US), Inc. suffered damages to their company. The plaintiff holds Florida Lawyers Network, LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly used plaintiff's images for public display.
The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's copyrights, award the plaintiff all profits derived from the infringement of their image, actual damages, statutory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Michael P. Woodbury and Robert P. Santiago of Woodbury, Santiago & Correoso, P.A. in Miami.
