U.S. government claims Hillsborough resident owes more than $41,000

TAMPA — A government entity is suing a Hillsborough resident, citing alleged breach of contract and unpaid debt. 

United States of America filed a complaint on Nov. 7, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Blanche E. Blue alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that United States of America suffered damages due to unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Blanche E. Blue responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of the debt plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $22,471.53 plus interest of $18,854.34, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Steven M. Davis of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. in Coral Gables.
