MIAMI — A Puerto Rican passenger is suing Royal Caribbean, alleging the defendant's negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Edgardo Lebron filed a lawsuit Nov. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., alleging failure to prevent the plaintiff from using the vessel's ice skating rink while at sea.

According to the complaint, on June 20, Lebron sustained physical injuries while using the ice skating rink aboard the Adventure at Sea. The plaintiff alleges Royal Caribbean Cruises allowed passengers to use the rink despite the ship's irregular movements at sea.

Lebron seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $75,000, all medical expenses, all legal fees and interest and any relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Spencer Aronfeld and Lovecia A. Holmes of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
