MIAMI — A New York passenger is suing Royal Caribbean, alleging the defendant's negligence led to a bingo table collapsing and injuring the plaintiff.

Levy Sharon filed a lawsuit Nov. 8 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., alleging failure to ensure the bingo tables were properly secure.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 5, Sharon suffered physical injuries to his body aboard the Enchantment of the Seas because Royal Caribbean failed to warn the plaintiff about the possibility of the bingo table collapsing. The suit says the plaintiff also sustained medical expenses and limited his potential to earn money.

Sharon seeks trial by jury, economic damages of more than $75,000, medical expenses, non-economic damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Robert L. Gardana of Miami.
