Law money 01

ORLANDO — A former employee has filed suit against a hotel and event hall for alleged unpaid wages.

Ricardo Lebron filed a complaint Oct. 19 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division, against Ramco Purveyor LLC, doing business as Monroe's on the Lake Hotel & Banquet Hall, and Rajendra Ramkhelawan, alleging that they failed to pay fair compensation to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation or minimum wage. The plaintiff holds Ramco Purveyor LLC, doing business as Monroe's on the Lake Hotel & Banquet Hall, and Rajendra Ramkhelawan responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premium to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back pay, liquidated damages, compensatory damages, punitive damages, all legal fees and any other relief this court deems just. He is represented by Carlos V. Leach of Morgan & Morgan P.A. in Orlando.
