Dryclean & Laundry Express Inc. alleged to have not properly paid employee for overtime work

Law money 04

MIAMI – An employee for a laundry service in Coral Springs claims she was not properly compensated for working overtime.

Jenny Ceruzzi filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Dryclean & Laundry Express Inc. and Amiruddin Momin citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Dryclean & Laundry Express Inc. and Momin responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half to plaintiff for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff seeks damages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Gina M. Cadogan in Plantation.
