Interior Glass Design LLC alleged to have not paid installer overtime wages

Law money 13

MIAMI – A decorative glass and window installer alleges he was not paid overtime by his former Miami-Dade employer.

Francisco Sotelo filed a complaint on Oct. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Interior Glass Design LLC and Santiago Guzman alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per workweek without being paid any overtime compensation from 2013 to September. The plaintiff holds Interior Glass Design LLC and Guzman responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay overtime premiums to plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half for working the extra hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
