Carnival Victory passenger alleges he slipped, fell while walking on stairs

Cruise 10

MIAMI – A Carnival Victory cruise passenger alleges he was injured because of the negligent condition of a staircase.

John Rando filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 9, he sustained physical injuries when he slipped on a foreign substance on a staircase. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate lighting on the stairs of its vessel or provide sufficient warning regarding the hazardous condition of the area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Carol L. Finklehoffe and Michael A. Winkleman of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman PA in Miami.
