Law money 09

MIAMI – Two former employees allege that a Pompano Beach employer failed to provide fair compensation to them.

Bertrand Demers and Celine Hamel filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Pompano Place Condominiums Association Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Florida Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that between September 2011 and December 2015, they worked without being paid the minimum wage rate in violation of the FLSA and the FMWA.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek compensation for all unpaid minimum wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by David S. Willig of David S. Willig Chartered in Miami and Chad Levy of Levy & Levy PA in Fort Lauderdale.
