Law money 05

FORT LAUDERDALE — A former employee has filed suit against her employer for allegedly unpaid wages.

Tiffany McKinley filed a complaint Sept. 27 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division, against MRL Printing LLC and Michael R. Levitt, alleging that they failed to provide fair compensation to the plaintiff for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds MRL Printing LLC and Michael R. Levitt responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeded 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double damages, all overtime wages owed to the plaintiff, all legal fees and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Angelena M. Root of Angelena M. Root PA in Fort Lauderdale.
