Law money 08

ORLANDO – A former recruiter for a health care company alleges she is owed overtime wages.

Renay Justice filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between October 2013 and April, she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for hours worked that exceeded 40 per week.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by David H. Spalter, Jill S. Schwartz and Lauren R. Robertson of Jill S. Schwartz & Associates PA in Winter Park.
