Law money 04

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County property management business is alleged to have not paid its multi-functional employees overtime wages.

Kevin Drudy filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated individuals on Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Maven Property Management LLC and Barry Schwarzberg citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked 14 hours of overtime on a biweekly basis without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Maven Property Management LLC and Schwarzberg responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeded 40 hours at a rate of time-and-one-half.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back wages, liquidated damages, reinstatement and promotion, front wages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Franklin A. Jara of Jara & Associates PA in Miami.
