Affordahealth Pain Relief Centers Inc. accused of not paying overtime

FORT LAUDERDALE – Current employees of a Broward County business allege they are owed overtime wages.

Melia Gilbert & Demerra Boyd filed a complaint on Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Affordahealth Pain Relief Centers Inc. and Michael Goelz citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that since June, they worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds Affordahealth Pain Relief Centers Inc. and Goelz responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half for all hours worked beyond 40 in a week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek overtime compensation due to the plaintiffs, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Noah E. Storch of Richard Celler Legal PA in Davie.
