Woman claims floor conditions at Steak N Shake caused her to fall

Slip02

ORLANDO – An Orange County restaurant patron alleges she was injured after a fall caused by a greasy floor.

Nibia Anderson filed a complaint on Sept. 1 in the 9th Circuit Court for Orange County against Steak N Shake Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 11, 2015, she sustained a serious injury after a fall caused by a wet and greasy floor on defendant's Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando premises. She alleges she sustained impairment, disability, inconvenience, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, loss of earning capacity and aggravation of a previously existing condition.

The plaintiff holds Steak N Shake Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide proper training of its employees to ensure an adequately safe environment, failed to properly warn plaintiff of the foreseeable risks of injury and failed to provide proper maintenance of premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant, compensatory damages, costs, interest and any relief as may be entitled. She is represented by Robert J. Horst of Horst Law Firm in Orlando.
