Motorist alleges she was injured in accident with postal employee

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County motorist alleges she was injured in an auto accident with a federal employee.

Latifa Taylor filed a complaint on Sept. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against United States of America alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Sept. 16, 2013, she sustained physical injuries and damages to her vehicle as the result of a vehicular accident with a United States Postal Service employee. The plaintiff holds United States of America responsible because the defendant's employee allegedly disregarded the traffic signs and generally failed to drive in a careful and safe manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks general, economic, noneconomic damages, special damages, property damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Devin P. Tison of Tison Law Firm PA in Fort Lauderdale.
