Sherman Development Co. allegedly failed to pay property manager overtime wages

MIAMI — A property manager has filed suit against her former employer for alleged unpaid overtime wages.

Lilian V. Vazquez filed a complaint Sept. 15 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Sherman Development Co. LLC, Jacki Elani and David Haim, alleging that they failed to provide fair compensation to the plaintiff for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between September 2015 and August 2016, she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Sherman Development Co. LLC, Jacki Elani and David Haim responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeded 40 hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Todd W. Shulby of Todd W. Shulby P.A. in Weston and William Brady of William Brady P.A. in Coral Gables.
