MIAMI — A former employee has filed suit against his previous employer for allegedly failing to pay him overtime wages.

Joseph Eagan filed a complaint Sept. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Total Car Shipping & Freight LLC and Jason Foltz, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate the plaintiff for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between March and July, he worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Total Car Shipping & Freight LLC and Jason Foltz responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for any hours worked that exceeded 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by James M. Loren of Goldberg & Loren P.A. in Plantation.
