Assistant claims Grumer & Macaluso did not properly compensate her

MIAMI – A woman hired as a receptionist and legal assistant alleges she was not paid overtime wages.

Jacqueline Franco filed a complaint on Sept. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Grumer & Macaluso PA and Keith T. Grumer citing the Fair Labor Standards.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Grumer & Macaluso PA and Grumer responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay plaintiff at a rate of time-and-one-half of her regular wage rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant plus court costs and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law PA in Fort Lauderdale.
